Volunteer Special Event Photography: Looking Back

A very personal part of my photographic journey is volunteering as a special event photographer for non-profits I like to support.

Here's a quick look back at a few events from the past four years, spanning MS fundraising rides and walks, Chinese New Year Parade, Pride Parade, a national paragliding competition off the side of a mountain, a rodeo, a regional anti-racism conference and Vancouver's Street Mural Festival (pre-COVID).

While I wasn't a volunteer photographer at the Simalkameen Pow Wow, two pictures below are some of my favourite portraits from a couple of years ago featuring First Nations dancers. Amazing day of dancing, singing and community!

Now what life is returning to normal and I have more free time it's time to expand my portfolio!
